ROB JENSEN
Coach Rob Jensen / Boys Soccer. Committed. Inspiring. Victorious.
For over a decade, Rob Jensen led the Sisters High School Boys Soccer Team to historic
heights, guiding a generation of athletes to excellence on and off the field. A Linfield
University graduate and former basketball and soccer player, Rob joined Sisters High School
in 2007 and built one of Oregon’s premier 3A and 4A soccer programs. During his 13 seasons
as head coach (2007–2018), the Outlaws achieved an impressive 107-51-14 record, captured
seven consecutive league titles (2010–2016), and celebrated two State Championships (2013
and 2015). Rob was twice honored as the Oregon 4A Coach of the Year and earned Sky-Em
Coach of the Year five times. Under his leadership, Outlaw players received 12 First Team
All-State honors and produced two State Players of the YearJake McAllister (2013) and
Maliki Sundstrom (2015).
Rob’s coaching philosophy centered on developing passion, character, and lifelong love for
the game. He believed in helping athletes “love the sport more when they finish than when
they start,” a message reflected in his players’ spirit and success. His 2013 State
Championship team scored 104 goals and 73 assists (17-1-1 record), while his 2015 squad
completed an undefeated 16-0-1 season, capturing the State title in dominant fashion.
Beyond the field and numerous other coaching duties over the past twenty years, Rob
continues to teach science at Sisters Middle School and coach 7th and 8th grade boys
basketball, bringing the same enthusiasm, mentorship, and integrity that defined his
championship teams. Rob Jensen’s leadership and legacy have forever shaped the tradition
of excellence in Outlaw athletics.
